- Golf Festival History
- 1993 saw the official opening of the Bridlington Links Golf Club and with it the idea of a Bridlington Golf Festival was born. Representatives from the three participating golf clubs were duly elected and a Festival Committee was formed.
The appointed Festival Committee, with the support of the East Yorkshire Borough Council, set out to organise a golf festival aimed at attracting golfers of all abilities to the Bridlington area, with the main emphasis on "fun golf".
With this in mind the first Golf Festival took place in the May of 1994. The Golf Festival proved an instant success and since then has grown in popularity now attracting thousands of golfers from all over the country and as far a field as France, Italy , Dubai and the U.S.A.
