Bridlington Golf Club, or Belvedere as it is often known, was founded in 1905. The club is sited South of the town, just off the main A165 link road to Hull.

In recent years the clubhouse, formerly Hilderthorpe Hall, has undergone major redevelopment and now boasts all the modern comforts together with excellent catering facilities and friendly staff equiped to cope with any golfing function.

The golf course itself has undergone major redevelopment. The planting of some 10,000 trees and construction of 5 large water hazardshas greatly improved the layout of the course. Couple this with some of the finest greens in the area and magnificent views of Bridlington Bay, the club clearly has a lot to offer.

The most notable development on the golf course is the extension of the lake that runs down the side of the 14th hole, which has now been extended to guard the front of the green. This hole at 402 yards will now be a key hole in anyone's round.

The par 5 8th hole has also had a facelift with 3 bunkers just short of the green. Big hitters beware! The club warmly welcomes visitors and tee times can be reserved through the club professional.

Founded in 1931 this friendly club situated high on the cliff top overlooking the North Sea is the ideal place to enjoy a round of golf for both members and visitors alike.

A first impression may suggest this will be an easy course to play. However, it can prove a test to any level of golfer once the wind begins to blow!

The visitor is offered breathtaking sea views with the cliffs a home for large colonies of sea birds equal to anywhere in the UK and the club is fortunate to have on the course the oldest surviving lighthouse in England, built in 1674 and well worth a visit.

Further history is reflected at the 13th hole with a reminder of a battle that took place off Flamborough Head in 1779 between a Scot John Paul Jones who fought on the side of the Americans in the War of Independence on his ship the Bonhomme Richard defeating the British man-o-war, Serapis.

Finally, a warm welcome will be found in the comfortable lounge giving the visitor the opportunity to relax with a drink or a meal from an extensive menu including seafood specialities.
